Abbeville beats St. Martinville

The Abbeville Wildcats helped their cause in the power point standings by beating the St. Martinville Tigers, 55-40.
Javontae Decuir scored 22 points for AHS. Tyrese Sam had 13 and Demarcus Collins scored eight.
Before the game, Abbeville was seeded No. 18 and St. Martinville was No. 13.
A win should give Abbeville power points to push them to No. 16. The top 16 play at home in the first round of the playoffs.
The Wildcats finish the regular season next week.

The Abbeville Lady Wildcats close out the regular season with a loss against the best team in the district - the St. Martinville Lady Tigers.
St. Martinville won 34-27.
On Monday, the Lady Wildcats will find out if they qualified for the Class 4A playoffs.
On Friday, Abbeville got behind 23-17 at halftime.
St. Martinville went cold in the second half by scoring only 11 points.
The only problem with that is that Abbeville scored only 10 points all second half.
Tayla Willis had 11 points for AHS and Eliza Chambers added six.
