According to Vermilion Parish Superintendent Jerome Puyau, summer school for Migrant and English Learners is canceled for Thursday. Employees and students who are part of this program do not have to attend school tomorrow. All other 12-month employees should report to work as normal.

CROWLEY - A Youngsville man faces two counts of first-degree rape of a juvenile following a grand jury hearing in Acadia Parish.
Police Chief Jimmy Broussard reports that Shannon Wade Faucheaux, 40, of the 4600 block of Verot School Road, was indicted on two counts of first-degree rape of a juvenile under the age of 13 by an Acadia Parish Grand Jury on May 29.
The investigation was conducted by the Crowley Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division, according to Broussard. The offenses allegedly occurred between 2011 and 2013.

At the end of each regular semester, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette recognizes those students named to the President’s List and Dean’s List.
Eligible students must be enrolled full time.
To be included on the Dean’s List, students must earn at 3.5 GPA or better and to be included on the President’s List, students must earn a 3.8 GPA or better.
