Delcambre Panthers look good in first game of 2020 season

DELCAMBRE - The Delcambre Panthers looked good in their first game of the 2020 football season.
The Panthers had 285 yards of total offense en route to a 25-6 win over Centerville on Thursday night.
Running out of the Wing-T offense, the Panthers rushed for 226 yards.
Sharing the rushing yards were fullback Noah Broussard (14-82), quarterback Kalob Moneaux (8-49), and tailback Jamian Guy (13-95).
Delcambre head coach Artie Liuzza was pleased with what he saw Thursday night. He gave his team a five-minute pep talk after the game.

Welcome to unique high school season

The 2020 high school football season is going to be like no other, thanks to COVID 19.
The season officially gets underway Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with parish teams playing real games.
But before you walk into a high school football stadium in Vermilion Parish, there are new rules to follow before, during and after the game.

High School Football Begins!

High school football gets underway on Thursday.
While college and pro football are in their second week, high school begins Thursday and Friday with scrimmages.
All parish schools will be in action. Playing Thursday will be Kaplan, Abbeville, Gueydan and Erath.
Kaplan will battle Eunice in Ed Douglas Memorial Stadium, starting at 5:30 p.m.
Kaplan will be selling pre-sold tickets at the front office in the school. They are $5 each. To get into the stadium, one must have a ticket. No one can walk up to the gate the night of the scrimmage and buy a ticket.
