Volunteers are encouraged to join Abbeville’s Community Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 26.

Abbeville Community Cleanup Day set for April 26

Volunteers can meet at Christian Service Center at 8 a.m. on Saturday

It’s spring, and that means time for cleaning.
That effort doesn’t have to be limited to your home, either.
Those interested in cleaning on a larger scale can take part in Abbeville’s Cleanup Day on Saturday, April 26. The cleanup, which is sponsored by the Math Depot, will take place from 8 a.m. to noon.
“This isn’t just about picking up trash,” said Nikia Johnson, who helped organize the event, “it’s about coming together as a community, showing pride in where we live, and teaching the next generation what it means to take care of what we’ve been given.
“When we work together, we create something beautiful—not just in our streets, but in our hearts too.”
Volunteers can meet at the Christian Service Center at 8 a.m. The center is located at 701 Chevis St. in Abbeville. You can register by going to www.tinyurl.com/AbbevilleCommunityCleanUpDay. Johnson said the more volunteers the merrier.
“We can’t do this alone,” Johnson said. “We need people who care—people like you. Sign up, show up, and help us create a cleaner, stronger Abbeville. Let’s turn one day of service into a movement of pride.”
