Jeremiah Landry

ERATH — Funeral Services for Mr. Jeremiah Landry, 18, will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 7:30PM with Brother Tony officiating. Interment will follow at a later date.
Visitation will be held at David Funeral Home of Erath on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 from 6:00PM until 10:00PM.
A native of Erath, Jeremiah passed away at Ochsner Medical Center ICU in New Orleans on December 16, 2022 due to a short battle with pneumonia. He was born in Lafayette and raised in Erath where he attended school. He was a Senior scheduled to graduate in May of 2023. He was an honorary member of the Erath High School Football team and a member of the Erath Power Lifting team. He was also a member of Unique Fitness and competed in powerlifting competitions.
Jeremiah was known by his family and friends as “Big J” and “Miah”. He enjoyed making people laugh with his jokes and dancing skills. His many hobbies were fishing, powerlifting, riding his four-wheeler, and playing games on his Xbox.
He is survived by his Maw Maw, Cindy “Faye” Nicholas of Erath, who raised him; his mother, Amy Journet; his father, Homer “Pop” Landry Jr.; his brother, Blair Landry; his sister, Bailey Landry; his aunt, Michelle Taylor and her husband Marcus; his nanny, Kayla and her husband Gerald and Ryley Case; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews; and his dogs, Ruby and Zeus.
He is preceded in death by his Paw Paw, Robert “Robo” Nicholas; his grandmother, Beverly Bourque; and his uncle, Jimmy “Jimbo” Nicholas.
