Florence B. Steinhorst

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 PM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in St. Mary Mother of the Church for Florence Bares Steinhorst, 94, who passed away on December 24, 2021.
Rev. Fr. Cedric Sonnier, Pastor of St. Mary Mother of the Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass and will conduct the funeral services.
Burial will take place in Lafayette Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Florence, a resident of Lafayette, was the daughter of the late Azare Bares and the former Emerete LeBlanc.
She is survived by her brother, Sidney Bares (Una); nieces, Tina B. LeMaire (Ronald), Diane B. Broussard (Carl), Suzanne F. Broussard (Allen), and Margaret F. Laperouse ("Tommy"); nephews, Michael Bares (Deborah), David Bares (Shannon), Paul Frederick (Marsha), Charles Frederick (Denise), and Mark Frederick (Darlene); and step-children, Niki S. Burrows, Kirk Steinhorst (Lilly), Cort Steinhorst (Karen), Sabra S. Bertinot (Curtis), and Rev. Kim Steinhorst (Genevieve).
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Richard Steinhorst Jr.; parents, Azare and Emerete Bares; sister, Lola Bares Frederick; and step-daughters, Betta S. Hamilton and Kitzi S. Zager.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed at Delhomme Funeral Home - Bertrand on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 from 9:00AM until the time of service.
Pallbearers will be Ronald LeMaire, Carl Broussard, Tommy Laperouse, Paul Frederick, Charles Frederick, and David Bares.
