ABBEVILLE – Funeral Services for Mrs. Lydia Romero Luquette, 92, were held at 10:00AM on Monday, January 24, 2022 at David funeral Home Chapel of Abbeville with Francis Plaisance officiating. Interment will be at Landry Cemetery in Henry.
Visitation was held at David Funeral Home of Abbeville on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 4:00PM until 9:00PM. Visitation will resume on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 8:00AM until the time of the services.
Mary Jane Bourque Galtier
DELCAMBRE — A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Mary Jane Bourque Galtier will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Buddy Breaux will be the celebrant. Following the Mass, Mary Jane will be laid to rest at the church cemetery.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2 p.m. until 9 p.m., with the Rosary being prayed at 5:30 pm. Visiting hours will resume on Thursday at 8:00 am until 10:30 am dismissal.
Flomingo Ann “Ming” Broussard
NEW IBERIA — Memorial services and inurnment will be held privately at a later date for Flomingo Ann “Ming” Broussard, age 65.
Ming as she was affectionately known by family and friends was born on June 9, 1956 in Vermilion Parish, during a hurricane and was considered a force of nature ever since.
She passed away on Monday, January 17, 2022 at Lafayette General Hospital surrounded by her family.
Ming was a graduate of New Iberia Senior High and Delta School of Business.
She enjoyed board games, card games, crossword puzzles and going to the casino.
