Community Foundation of Acadiana (CFA) in partnership with Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA) granted almost $3 million to 18 non profits throughout Acadiana to benefit communities marginalized by the 2010 Oil Spill. RPA selected CFA as a regional partner, because of its expertise in community needs and knowledge in grant making, to re-grant dollars entrusted to RPA from an anonymous donor. CFA established the Fund for Gulf Communities (FFGC) from which grants were made to organizations in Acadiana.
