Lydia Meaux Montagne

ABBEVILLE — A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 7, 2022 at St. Therese Catholic Church honoring the life of Lydia Meaux Montagne, 80, who died Thursday, February 3, 2022 at Abbeville General Hospital. She was laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery with Fr. François Sainte-Marie officiating the services.
She is survived by her four grandsons, Rickey Montagne, Jr. and his wife, Chassie of Calhoun, GA, Brody Montagne and his wife, Crystal of Resaca, GA, Richard Montagne of Crestview, FL, and Trey Montagne of Erath; three granddaughters, Alexia Sinnott and her husband, Anthony of Harriman, TN, Danielle Montagne of Youngsville, LA, and Shae Viator and husband Taylor of Youngsville, LA; eight great grandchildren; four sisters, Annie Vaughn, Linda Trahan, Jane Meaux, and Agnes Frederick, all of Abbeville, LA; and one brother, Michael Meaux of TX.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Montagne, Sr.; two sons, Daniel Montagne, Jr., and Rickey Montagne, Sr.; and parents, Felician Meaux and the former Lydie Gaspard.
The family requested that visiting hours be observed at Vincent Funeral Home - Abbeville, 209 S. St. Charles St., on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 9:00 AM until 1:45 PM time of services.
