For the past four decades, one thing has remained constant at the nursing home in Kaplan – and it certainly is not the name.
Currently under the ownership of Nexion, Kaplan Health Care Center has been called ‘home’ by employee and LPN Adella Racca for the past 42 years.
Adella “Della” Racca, formerly a Simon, grew up outside of Kaplan. She graduated high school from Indian Bayou, before the two-story building was torn down and replaced by the current structure.
Immediately following graduation, Della married area mechanic Wilton J. Racca.
